He turned the key in the lock and pushed the door open. To his surprise and horror, he saw her standing there, staring out his window, arms folded over her chest as though she’d never left.
“What are you doing here?” he questioned, eyes wide and voice shaking. She shouldn’t have come back. The sound of his voice drew her attention, and she turned to face him. Even in the darkened room, he could see the black circles that rested beneath her vacant eyes. “You’re supposed to be…”
“Dead?” She supplied before nodding. “Mmhm. I’m here to take you with me.”
