The Doves were a lovely family, friendly to a fault. So, when they heard a knock on their door, they didn’t hesitate to answer with smiles on their faces. Who would harm them? The decent Doves never made enemies.
Standing on their porch was War, hands open. Expectant.
“Won’t you be so kind as to spare me a dime?”
“We don’t like to fight,” said Mr. Dove.
“Which is why I’m asking nicely.”
Thus, they gave War a dime and shut the door. Then they closed their windows and pulled down the blinds.
“What charitable people we are,” they praised themselves.
Hello Won.
Subtle morality tale reminding reader that for evil to thrive good men simply do nothing… or. as in you story, very little, and close their eyes.
Deep proverb of a story. The moral and corrupt living blind to their deeds
Wow! Powerful. Thank you for this.
