The Great Wall of China snaked up and down the rugged mountains, disappearing into the dusty horizon. Russia, Europe, Africa, India, and both the Americas were now just beautiful memories of jungles, deserts, plains, and breathtaking peaks. I hoped the last leg of this journey would be the most spectacular. It did not disappoint.
I unzipped my rucksack and pulled out Gina’s urn, placing it on a rocky turret. In this small corner of China, I fulfilled the vow I made to my teenage daughter only a day before the cancer took her.
“Here’s the world, Gina. Just like I promised.”
Very touching and beautifully done!
A BEAUTIFUL story. Enough said.
This one is a REAL WINNER! My thought after reading it: “Wish I had written that!”
Oops! This one was so darn good, I lost my head and commented twice! A thousand pardons.
Really lovely.
Beautifully done … take a bow.
Very nice.
