When Joe began collecting his daughter from the local kindergarten school in the hearse he used for the family business, the principal felt she had to act. She asked him to stop.
“It could frighten the other children,” she said.
“Not at all,” he replied. “It will teach them that death is natural. It’s not as if I have a body or even a coffin on board.”
“Nevertheless, I would prefer you wouldn’t.”
He didn’t.
Three weeks later, after his daughter’s principal died of a sudden heart attack, he paused for a minute outside the school, her coffin in the back.
Interesting undertaking!

Great read. As a grandma who often picks up the kids from school, waiting in a long line of cars, I now wonder how I’d react to a hearse. So many issues raised in this 101 word winner. Congrats!
Circle of life! Good story.
Great, tightly constructed read. And the end made me chuckle (although, after reading it again, I’m not sure it should have!).
I enjoyed the irony.
Instant Karma’s gonna get ya?
Nice twist.
Great story of irony in so few words. Loved it!
