Jim reached into his grocery bag and handed Bob an orange.
“Are these from your tree?”
“Yep.”
“I’ve heard about these oranges. They are legendary.”
“Well, I hope they meet your expectations.”
Bob ripped open the skin of his orange. A minute later juice covered his fingers, flowed onto his hands, ran down his arms, and dripped off his elbows.
“This is the best homegrown orange I’ve ever had. What’s your secret?”
“I think it might have something to do with transplanting it two years ago.”
“Yeah?”
“Ever since I put it over the septic tank, the fruit has been delicious.”
Superior. Delivers an unexpected funny punch.
