Maria had already retired to the bedroom, preferring the company of various Facebook narcissists to her husband, Diego. Wearily, Diego climbed the stairs.
On lifting the bedcover, he found that Maria had turned into a giant taco. Her phone lay face up. The last thing she had done before her transfiguration was to like a GIF of a kitten falling off a bookshelf.
His wife was crispy and perfectly fried. Diego thought back to the meagre dinner; 40 days of dieting.
With the passion of their original courtship, he devoured his wife, pausing only to retrieve the salsa from the fridge.
This was all kinds of weird! “His wife was crispy and perfectly fried.” is both surreal comedy gold and horrifying.
Well done!
My kind of story, superbly written. Kudos.
Great little piece! They don’t get much weirder than this. 🙂
