When the new cat arrived, I was scared.
Sophie should have let me know that she was getting one.
I hate cats, and the feeling is mutual. This new cat is the worst by far. It is black with creepy yellow eyes that are always staring at me.
The new cat is always chasing me and attacking me with her claws. I have to hide in my own home. It’s humiliating.
Sophie should have known better.
Cats eat fish, and a pretty goldfish is their favourite meal.
I should know; one ate my brother, and this one’s going to eat me.
To me this is what flash fiction is all about. This piece has several important elements that make it strong. In particular, the use of an interesting voice that produced a tight story arc with a solid conclusion. I hope you will keep sharing your work with us. — Benita
Cute surprise ending. Liked it!
Sounds fishy to me.
