The New Lock

My son put a new lock on the front door. “It’s to keep us all safe, Dad,” he said.

But he can’t fool me. I know he did it to keep me imprisoned in the house. Just because I went out to get the mail yesterday, took a short stroll, and had a little trouble finding my way home. That could happen to anyone, right? And my nephew found me and gave me a ride home, so what’s the big deal?

So maybe I’ve gotten a little forgetful. Well…maybe a lot forgetful.

Now, Doctor, what were we talking about again?

Good choice of examples to show the commonality of this issue. So many of us can relate.

I love the way you illustrated the whole event in so few words. Good job!

Nicely done, but I’m pretty sure a lock like this would be illegal (fire codes). But narrator isn’t reliable.
