In the fading echoes of December, an ancient figure lay on a bed of dreams.
The Old Year was dying.
The New was being born.
His breath whispered farewells, carrying ancient memories.
As the final bell tolled, a radiant child emerged from the old body, cradled in the weathered hands of the departing Year. The room shimmered with the essence of transformation, a dance of endings and beginnings. With a last sigh, the Old Year surrendered, leaving behind a legacy woven into the fabric of time. The New Year, infused with ancient wisdom, heralded a future full of hope and possibilities.
Really enjoyed this!
Hello Domenico,
Lovely imagery and use of
metaphors. A frisson of excitement might have been felt if the fact that the Old Year was ending , the New Year beginning had been the final two sentences. Well done, nonetheless ?
Opps!! Should have been !!!
