The wind blew softly through the neighborhood. The branches of a tree under which the children played swayed back and forth, back and forth.
One day, a man found a noose hanging from the tree. They took it down before the children could see it, and did not talk about it since. The children were forbidden from playing there. All was quiet.
A child grew up and life became hard for him. Not knowing there ever was a noose hanging from that tree, he hanged himself from the branches, his body swaying in the wind, back and forth, back and forth.
It happens in life too. When something horrible occurred in a place, that same thing will repeat itself in the future.
So, yes, your beautifully written story is frighteningly true.
