My behavior led to this. The wait, the process, and the pain are inevitable. I should’ve known. I should’ve listened. I’m paying for it now.
She stands as Centurion for the Prince of Pain. Gleefully aware sounds emanating from that Sanctuary of Sadism curl the blood.
Knowing what will happen, her youthful smile and friendly demeanor are pure evil.
I’ve seen others enter, never see them leave.
Sounds of The Prince’s handiwork, then…Silence.
“You’re next, Abraham.” The Centurion smirks, nodding left.
I’m led to that familiar chair…
“Been flossing?” Dr. Mengele asks, smiling, as he points his sharp dental probe.
Good job on the story. The ending tied up the story so neatly and was totally unexpected.
Really liked this story and the surprise ending.
Nice twist; I didn’t see it coming. I went to an oral surgeon once and when finished, you left through an exit that didn’t take you through the waiting room. I thought it wonderfully creepy.
Great ending. I personally believe ALL flash should end this well.
“Abraham”
“Dr, Mengele”
Is this some kind of sick joke………..?
I am encouraged to see someone noticed that this may have been mid twentieth century Nazi Germany. The behavior of accepting intolerance. Then again, it might even be sometime in the not so distant future with what’s been insidiously going on in Europe. It is dark humor, but the reality is no joke.
