It was true—she was someone who could be late to her own funeral. She was, in fact, late to her own funeral! The funeral home was running behind. I guess they were really busy with other bodies. Family and friends were visibly upset. They sort of laughed. This was Suzie, while she was alive. Arriving to everything late. People started to lie just so she would come on time. Whether work, a graduation, dinner reservations, Suzie was the queen of losing track of time. That is how she lost her life. Rushing because she was behind. A trash truck won.
Loved this! So apt but sad at the end.
I love this. I could be Susie!! Time to slow down maybe.
Sassy and snappy. Well done!
Sad but well written
