Reggie Knowles stood under the waterfall letting the cool water wash away the dirt and sweat of the day into the nearby pool. A forced march through the steamy jungle on paths made barely passable by lush foliage had left him exhausted.
His captors sat in a circle on a rocky ledge sharing their food and water, along with the cigarettes they had taken from his pack. Through the roar of the falls he could hear the insistent screeching of a nearby jungle bird…
“Reggie! Reggie! You’ll miss your train into town if you don’t get out of the shower! Reggieeee!”

Imagination is a great way to pass the time–especially while taking a shower. Another twist ending that caught me unawares. Loved it!
