Bones crumble to dust. It’s been centuries since The Skeleton Key has conscripted new sailors, and few things last as long as the majestic ship herself.
It’s easy to lure men prone to plunder; the ship is irresistible under the light of the full moon. She whispers of treasure to be found inside, but the men’s search is futile.
They are the prize.
Her wooden hatches slam shut, trapping them deep in her hull. Then she dives, ignoring screams.
After emerging from the depths, The Skeleton Key has a new crew. One that will last until their bones crumble to dust.
Oh, creepy and very effective, I love it!
Great, spooky tale!
