Aaron opened his front door and was served with a summons. His neighbor had filed a restraining order against him.
Aaron had thought Mark was his friend. They certainly did all the things that friends usually did together. Aaron knew Mark’s entry code, and came and went freely from Mark’s house. Most of the tools in Aaron’s garage were borrowed from Mark. Aaron sent Mark dozens of text messages each day about interesting things. And Aaron waited on Mark’s front porch with cold beers nearly every evening after work.
Aaron would have to rethink what kind of person Mark really was.
Brilliant! There was a bestseller once called “You just don’t understand”. And this is 101 words on pure miscommunication. I love it.
What a brilliant piece!
Very clever! Loved it.
The elevator can’t get the truth to the top floor.
Ha! Great story. I really enjoyed it!!!
Hahaha! Your story sounds like one of those dark comedies where you can’t stop laughing at the subtle, yet somewhat creepy humor. Love it! Best thing I read today, and I read a lot.
