“Did you hear the news, Lois? Elmer Brown’s kid was in a bad motorcycle accident. He’s in the Plainsville hospital, all busted up.”

“What happened?”

“There were a couple of new girls in town. Junior was showing off, trying to ride his motorcycle standing on the seat holding onto the handlebars. He hit a curb and lost control. Good thing he was wearing a helmet, but the rest of his body didn’t fare so well.”

“Sounds bad.”

“It is. Mercy, that boy just doesn’t think at all.”

“You’re wrong there, Arlene. He thinks alright, but with his pecker—not his brain.”
