“We have the travel news at 10:15.” The radio was loud in the otherwise silent kitchen.
The woman stared out of the window, a full whisky glass in hand.
“There’s been a multiple vehicle accident on the M62 in Yorkshire. A car has gone through the central reservation and burst into flames. Both carriageways are closed and all emergency services, including the air ambulance, are attending. Please use another route.”
She smiled. That was the route her cheating husband used. She went to her laptop, closed the ‘basic mechanics’ webpage and deleted her browsing history. Would that be enough, she wondered?
