The teenager on the balcony overlooking the deserted swimming pool admired the girl’s dive and graceful freestyle strokes. When she was midway, a cobra slithered onto the water, sliding on a collision course with her.
His desperate screams proving futile, the teenager stiffened at the dreadful prospect of helplessly watching a horrible snake-bite fatality. Just then, a swallow-tailed kite swooped in a majestic arc, easily picked the cobra in its talons and rose into the sky.
The girl saw the applauding teenager while turning back at the other end, blissfully oblivious to the incredible show of destiny he had just witnessed.
Bad news for the cobra though. A good story.
