“Nope, not happening,” the manager spat out dismissively, one swollen finger aloft in admonishment. “No. My instructions were very pacific.”
Malie glared at the side of her young manager’s head, cringing at her atrocious grammar. What was it about Millennials and their aversion to the English dictionary? She bit down hard on her tongue before she uttered something irreversible.
Malie silently began to prep materials for the morning’s procedures, visions of ponderous medical tomes landing on her manager’s head still swirling devilishly in her thoughts. Her manager-from-Hades let loose a reverberating burp, and giggled, pleased with her accomplishment.
Another fine day in paradise.
Oh dear! I can empathise with sound of poor grammar, sticking in my throat. It’s so hard not to correct people Phynne. A great read. X
