My brother used to eat words. He’d take out books from the library and return them all blank. He’d start by peeling words off pages and cramming them into his mouth. Then he’d get impatient, grab a spoon from the kitchen, and scrape adverbs and prepositions off each paper leaf into little inky mounds.
I got tired of this fast. One day he brought me an essay of his to read. I told him it looked fine, but all those commas would taste disgusting.
It was when my brother ate his own words that he cut back on his language consumption.
Wonderful 🙂
Great concept!
So good! I eat humble pie, often.
This was delicious 😉
