My concrete balcony shook with a thud. Our security guard, Officer Charles, at least that’s what he went by, had landed.
A feline, maybe Mopsy, was sprawled out, covering Charles’ balding ginger head. A mangy lifeless black tail was messing with Charles’ nose hairs.
I sidled over in broken silver flip flops and peeked out of my left eye.
The feline had a pink and bluish, maybe yellow, abscess. It oozed.
Bile flooded the back of my throat.
“What the hell are you doing?” I yelled at Officer Charles, as he pulled my hands behind me.
“We know you hated cats.”
I don’t get this at all?
