“It all started with the candle flame,” I said truthfully.
He frowned at that.
“Before I stabbed him, I used to cut myself and watch the blood flow—I liked it!” I explained.
He was still frowning.
“Before even that, I used to pinch myself to check the level of my pain endurance.”
Deeper frown.
“Before that, I sewed my initials on my hand with needle and thread.”
Frown.
“Much before that, I used to move my finger through the candle flame until it was black, and hurt.”
The idiot lawyer was still frowning—his pen would make a good weapon!
