For six months, whenever I walk by the park, I’ve seen the same guy sitting on the same bench. Always alone, doing absolutely nothing.
He is clean-shaven on Mondays, gets a haircut every five weeks, and wears the weirdest sweaters. I mean, what’s up with him?
I’ve never had the guts before, but today, I approach him and ask, “Why are you here every single day?”
“I’m waiting.”
“For what?”
“For my life to begin.”
I swallow hard and sit next to him. “How will you know?”
“Can’t you tell?” He smiles at me. “It’s just begun.”
Yep, definitely a weirdo.
What a charming story. It made my day.
Without human contact life would be empty. So who really is the weirdo?
