Ragnar Haemmelvik belched and swiped froth from his luxurious beard. He was warming his crowd by recounting unknown fables. His warriors sat around the table, their haunted eyes upon their leader.
Fire burned brightly in the little inn’s grate. Few people had ventured out in this terrible weather, disappointing the innkeeper greatly. Standing behind the bar, he absentmindedly wiped a glass. Then he interrupted Ragnar.
“Thank you for your wonderful tales of brave deeds and daring, friend… Now you have split into teams, question one…ready? Who had a big hit with the song ‘Starman’? Was it Beyoncé, Bowie, or Rihanna?”
Lol – definitely not an expected ending!
Thanks for taking the trouble to comment, Karen. Very much appreciated. I do like throwing in unexpected endings whenever possible. It is part of my brand of silliness, I guess. Happy weekend.
Hahaha. I’m in the SCA and this scenario plays out constantly among us. Well done. A warm memory for me, personally.
