She scrubbed the walls; they had become quite messy over the past week.
She cleared the kitchen of food and lit twenty-two incense sticks to get rid of the smell that lingered, both from the drains and tireless cooking throughout the week.
She worked until everything sparkled and then she slept for two days, almost.
Her kitchen, contaminated by the pungent aroma of her efforts to mask the odor, sent her to the coffee shop for breakfast.
It’s strange that she didn’t sample her intensive cooking efforts, but eating family is frowned upon and she just so happened to be vegetarian.
Delightfully wicked!
Why, thank you!
The last sentence packed a powerful punch!
Really a CHILLING little story. Loved it!
