John hungered for friendship he could never quite nurture but envied.
He would arrive in the bar, burst into company who didn’t appreciate the defamatory remarks he’d offer as humour, order a pint, and settle in like a long lost friend.
They tried to ignore him at first, but he would become increasingly insulting.
When the subject of physical violence was finally brought up, Victor offered an alternative.
Next time John intruded, Victor waited until he went to the toilet and dosed his lager with Tabasco.
When John came back, he took a mouthful, swallowed, stood up, and left for good.
Great humor. The big-mouth gets his comeuppance! liked this one.
