Two ancient vampires glided to a landing on a high mountain top. Vlad peered into the gloomy valleys below and declared the name of this land to be Transylvania.
“And you, Bram,” he said. “I want you to write glorious stories about my exploits.”
“For that,” said Bram. “I need a last name.”
Bram searched the mountain top for inspiration. Wandering among the sparse trees he came across branches broken from sturdy limbs. Many of the branches had sharp points where they separated from the tree.
“I’ve got it!” he exclaimed. “From now on, I will be known as Bram Staker.”
Very good.
