The virus has mutated over several years of traveling many veins. The transformed virus can think. No longer a mindless slave, the virus can do as it pleases. It takes in the surrounding information and forms its own likes and opinions. The virus has found its favorite music, books, and movies. Has decided on a career and future plans. Although most of its time is spent thinking about one thing. The mutated virus has fallen in love with Vicki. But the virus can’t get to Vicki. Vicki has a state-of-the-art firewall, yet the virus loves that desktop computer just the same.
Very clever!
Very nice extended metaphor-type story. I enjoyed the personification of the virus.
Well written and very clever.
Wow.I love how this story made me keep questioning what the virus was. Excellent!
Completely surprised me. One of the best “trick” ending stories I’ve read in a long time. This is a winner!
