Whispers of the Other Side

November 29, 2025 1 Comment

By Bills0702

How dare they say I’m ill when I know what I saw? The monsters are here day and night. Even our mansion isn’t safe.

The old man in Room B, with his long beard and prayer beads, said, “No one can help you. Get comfortable with them.”

They mock me, offer deals I refuse, yet linger—clawing at my thoughts, laughing in the dark.

Tonight, I’m done. I close my eyes, breathe shallow, feel their cold hands at my throat, the rope ever so tight. I step forward into silence, where their whispers fade and something far worse finally greets me.

The Power of Imagery with Nina Schuyler

September 12 & 13 on Zoom
Enrollment closes Thursday, September 3 at 7:00 PM Pacific

If your descriptions are vivid but your stories still feel thin, this workshop is for you.

Join award-winning author Nina Schuyler to learn the difference between description, which tells a reader what things look like, and imagery, which carries plot, character, and meaning at the same time.

In just two days, you'll learn to choose images that hold emotion without naming it, pair them so each one deepens the other, and build patterns that gather meaning as the story moves.
