ZOOM—going on sixty, Terrence’s mind races as he pushes down the gas pedal. He sees only the road ahead, everything else blurs.
ZOOM—going seventy, his mind is on the lotto ticket he won.
ZOOM—going eighty, his mind centers on millions.
ZOOM—going ninety, he reflects on his desires.
ZOOM—going one hundred, he sees heaps of money.
ZOOM—going over one hundred, his vision blurs into dollars signs.
BAM!
“Hi,” says the figure next to him, “take the next cloud left.”
Terrence glances at the figure. “Don’t bother me, I’m in a rush to… What did you say?”
I knew something was coming but that was unexpected. I’m still laughing because it’s so human.
